The last game against a ranked foe the Dukes hosted came Oct. 20, 2018, a 3-1 victory over No. 23 Rhode Island.

- Redshirt senior goalkeeper Diego Chavez and freshman midfielder Hákon Dagur Matthíasson were each honored with weekly accolades from the Atlantic 10 after their roles in a 1-0 victory at Syracuse (9/5), with Chavez, who made a season-high nine saves in the win over the Orange, being selected the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week (9/8), while Matthíasson, who scored the lone goal in the triumph, was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week (9/8).

So Fresh, So Clean – Duquesne concludes a three-game homestand against Saint Louis Saturday at Rooney Field having received production from up and down its lineup. Of the seven players that have scored a goal for the Dukes this year, four have collected their first NCAA Division I marker. The list grew in a 3-1 win over St. Bonaventure (9/14), with redshirt junior Ashwin Menon and sophomore midfielder Miles Imparato each connecting for their first career NCAA goals in the victory, with Menon's standing as the game winner. In all, a total of 12 different players have registered on the scoresheet this season.

The Helper – While seven different Dukes have scored a goal so far this season, senior midfielder Grant McIntosh has been in the middle of the attack. He leads Duquesne in assists with three, including a secondary assist in the first goal of the match in a 3-1 victory over St. Bonaventure (9/14) that opened a three-game homestand at Rooney Field. McIntosh has appeared in 40 career games on the Bluff, including 39 starts, and has tallied six career assists.

Veteran Presence – Redshirt senior Diego Chavez has been stout for the Dukes as the starting goalkeeper in the first seven games of the 2025 season, registering five clean sheets while posting 18 saves. A transfer from Colorado Mesa, Chavez has started each of the last 43 games he's appeared in dating back to the beginning of the 2023 season and owns a career record of 24-16-9 (.582) during his NCAA career as a goalkeeper. Chavez enters Saturday's game leading the Atlantic 10 in shutouts (5), which is tied for fourth in NCAA Division I with five other student-athletes. Chavez also ranks third in the A-10 in goals against average (0.43) and save percentage (.857) and tied for sixth in saves (18).

Instant Impact – In addition to collecting the first goal of the 2025 season for Duquesne, freshman midfielder Hákon Dagur Matthíasson set up the second goal of the contest in a 3-0 win over Seton Hill (8/21) at Rooney Field. He fed redshirt junior Jaxon Ervin, who sliced one into the net at 27:21 to give the Dukes a 2-0 cushion. Ervin is Duquesne's active career points leader with 20 points thanks to six goals and eight assists, and the Dukes are a perfect 6-0 when he scores in a game since the beginning of the 2024 campaign.

Power Pack – Duquesne's 1-0 win at Syracuse (9/5) helped the Dukes improve to 3-1-1 (.700) against teams from a power conference over the last four years. In 2022, Duquesne opened its season with a 1-0 victory at Michigan (8/25/22) out of the Big Ten. The following year as part of Fairfield Inn by Marriott Invitational, which was hosted by James Madison, the Dukes earned a 5-1 triumph over Virginia Tech (8/27/23) out of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Last season, Duquesne finished with a 1-1 tie at No. 23 Notre Dame (9/10/24), also out of the ACC, before its road win against the Orange.

One – Since the beginning of the 2021 campaign, the Dukes own a record of 31-9 (.775) in one-goal matches after earning a 1-0 triumph at Syracuse (9/5). Included in that stretch is an 18-3 (.857) record in such games at Rooney Field and a 13-6 (.684) mark on the road.
