- The Duquesne University men's soccer team takes to the road for the first time during the 2026 season Sunday, taking on Robert Morris in Moon Township, Pa., at 4:00 p.m. at the North Athletic Complex.
 
- The Dukes wrapped up an undefeated homestand in their last outing, posting a 2-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's (8/27).
 
- Senior Cody Da scored the first goal of the contest in the win over the Mount, collecting his first career strike on the Bluff at 58:05 to give Duquesne the lead. Redshirt sophomore Jameson Michel would seal the triumph late, taking a feed from redshirt senior Jaxon Ervin and finding the back of the net at 89:38.
 
- The Dukes claimed their first victory of the 2026 season in their second game of the year, a 3-0 triumph over Bowling Green (8/20). A scoreless game through 75 minutes, Duquesne secured the win with three goals in a span of six minutes.
 
- Redshirt sophomore forward Jameson Michel gave the Dukes their first goal of the 2026 campaign in the win over the Falcons, taking a cross from Sergios Feneridis in front of the net and tapping it into the goal to give Duquesne a 1-0 edge at 75:54.
 
- Just 17 seconds after the goal from Michel, junior forward Marko Rasmussen stretched the lead for Duquesne to 2-0 with his first goal of the campaign. He would add another strike less than six minutes later to settle the final score.
 
- The Dukes opened their 2026 campaign with a scoreless draw against Lafayette (8/20) at Rooney Field. Duquesne held a 15-6 edge in shots, with junior forward Roni Badler recording a game-high five shots.
 
- Duquesne returns six starters from a 2025 squad that finished with an overall mark of 8-6-2 (.562), including a 2-6 (.250) ledger in the Atlantic 10. In a preseason poll of head coaches, the Dukes were picked to finish 10th in the conference in 2026.
 
- Included among the six returning starters for Duquesne is four of the top five scorers from 2025, including leading scorer Jaxon Ervin. A two-time member of the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team (2024, 2025), Ervin started all 16 games for the Dukes last year and finished with a team-high 12 points thanks to five goals and a pair of assists.
 
- Ervin is the active leading scorer at Duquesne with 25 points courtesy of eight goals and nine assists. He has started 36 of his 46 career games on the Bluff over the last four seasons.
 
- The Dukes are led by head coach Chase Brooks, who is in his 14th season leading the program in 2026. Brooks has compiled an overall record of 98-93-30 (.511) at Duquesne and is the program's all-time leader in coaching victories. In his 16th year as a head coach overall, Brooks has posted a mark of 120-99-39 (.541).
 
- Duquesne established a new program record with 11 consecutive wins at Rooney Field over the course of the 2023 and 2024 seasons, while its eight victories at home in 2024 is a school record. The Dukes own a mark of 33-6-7 (.793) at Rooney Field since the beginning of the 2021 campaign.
 
Scouting the Colonials – Located in Moon Township, Pa. … Member of the Horizon League … Robert Morris fell in its 2026 season opener at home to Drexel (8/20), 2-1, but owns a road win at Canisius (8/23), 1-0, as well as a home triumph, 2-1, over Waynesburg (8/27) … Nine different players have registered on the scoresheet through three games for RMU … The Colonials are led by Jonathan Potter (Chowan '10), who is in his fourth season at the helm … Potter guided Robert Morris to the 2024 Horizon League Championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Championship … Sunday marks the 31st meeting in the all-time series with RMU, with the Dukes owning a 19-7-4 (.700) advantage … In last year's meeting at Rooney Field, Roni Badler scored at 79:26 to help Duquesne secure a 2-2 draw with the Colonials.
 
Tip of the Cap – Thanks to the performances for Duquesne in its first two games of the year, a pair of student-athletes garnered weekly honors from the Atlantic 10. Junior forward Marko Rasmussen was selected as A-10 Offensive Player of the Week, while redshirt senior goalkeeper Sam Coss was named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week. Rasmussen scored a pair of goals in the win over Bowling Green (8/23) after entering this season with two goals in 26 career games on the Bluff. Coss, meanwhile, earned a pair of clean sheets in the first two games of the year, becoming the first Duquesne goalkeeper to turn the trick since 2022. Coss owns eight saves through the first three games of 2026.
 
Reserve Spark – In returning four of its top five scorers from last year, junior forward Roni Badler was a key contributor for the Dukes, mostly as a reserve. He played in 11 contests a year ago, including one start, and tied for second on the squad in goals (4) while ranking third in points (8). Owning one of the more lethal strikes in the lineup, 52.4 percent (11-of-21) of Badler's shots during the year were on frame. He led Duquesne in shots on goal and was one of seven players to produce a game-winning goal throughout the season. Badler has played 18 career games on the Bluff and owns five goals on 14 shots on net, including a pair of game winners. In the early going of the 2026 campaign, Badler leads the Atlantic 10 in shots with nine.  
 
One – Since the beginning of the 2021 campaign, the Dukes own a record of 33-13 (.717) in one-goal matches. Included in that stretch is a 19-5 (.792) record in such games at Rooney Field and a 14-8 (.636) mark on the road.
