- The Duquesne University men's soccer team hosts Detroit Mercy in a non-conference match Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rooney Field. It marks the final non-conference home game of the 2025 campaign.
 
- The Dukes are looking to get back on track against the Titans Tuesday after consecutive losses, including a 2-0 defeat at Saint Joseph's (9/27) in their last outing.
 
- Duquesne also fell in its last home game at Rooney Field, 1-0, to No. 7 Saint Louis (9/20).
 
- Through nine matches of the 2025 season, seven different players have scored a goal for Duquesne, while 12 have registered on the scoresheet.
 
- Redshirt senior goalkeeper Diego Chavez and freshman midfielder Hákon Dagur Matthíasson were each honored with weekly accolades from the Atlantic 10 after their roles in a 1-0 victory at Syracuse (9/5), with Chavez, who made a season-high nine saves in the win over the Orange, being selected the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week (9/8), while Matthíasson, who scored the lone goal in the triumph, was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week (9/8).
 
- The Dukes are led by head coach Chase Brooks, who is in his 13th season leading the program in 2025. Brooks has compiled an overall record of 93-89-29 (.509) at Duquesne and is the program's all-time leader in coaching victories. In his 15th year as a head coach overall, Brooks has posted a mark of 115-95-38 (.540).
 
- Duquesne established a new program record last season with 11 consecutive wins at Rooney Field as well as its eight victories at home in 2024. Despite a 1-0 loss to No. 7 Saint Louis (9/20), the Dukes own a mark of 29-5-6 (.800) at Rooney Field since the beginning of the 2021 campaign.

- Returning to Atlantic 10 play after hosting the Titans, Duquesne travels to Rhode Island Wednesday, Oct. 8, for a 7:00 p.m. match.
 
Scouting the Titans – Located in Detroit, Mich. … Member of the Horizon League … Detroit Mercy has compiled an overall record of 4-4-1 (.500) this season, including a 1-2 (.333) mark in the Horizon League … The Titans are coming off a 1-0 loss at Wright State (9/27) … Redshirt junior midfielder Clayton Lafayette and junior Drew Pierson each have scored six points to pace Detroit Mercy this year, with each owning a pair of goals and a pair of assists … Lafayette had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory over Green Bay (9/20), while Pierson had a pair of assists in the same game … In his third season guiding the Titans is Nate Kopunek (Towson '14), who was named as head coach March 6, 2023 … Kopunek is in his first job as a head coach after spending four seasons as an assistant at Bowling Green … Tuesday marks the fourth meeting all-time between Duquesne and Detroit Mercy, with the series tied, 1-1-1 (.500) … The last meeting between the two programs saw the Dukes earn a 3-0 victory over the Titans at Rooney Field Sept. 2, 2018 … In that contest, Duquesne earned a 28-11 advantage in shots, including 9-6 in shots on target, and received goals from Rob Dymond (23:33), Zion Beaton (55:39) and Zach Hall (86:04).  
 
So Fresh, So Clean – Duquesne has received production from up and down its lineup throughout the course of the 2025 campaign. Of the seven players that have scored a goal for the Dukes this year, four have collected their first NCAA Division I strike. The list grew in a 3-1 win over St. Bonaventure (9/14), with redshirt junior Ashwin Menon and sophomore midfielder Miles Imparato each connecting for their first career NCAA goals in the victory, with Menon's standing as the game winner. In all, a total of 12 different players have registered on the scoresheet this season.
 
The Helper – While seven different Dukes have scored a goal so far this season, senior midfielder Grant McIntosh has been in the middle of the attack. He leads Duquesne in assists with three, including a secondary assist in the first goal of the match in a 3-1 victory over St. Bonaventure (9/14) that opened a three-game homestand at Rooney Field. McIntosh has appeared in 42 career games on the Bluff, including 41 starts, and has tallied six career assists.
 
Instant Impact – In addition to collecting the first goal of the 2025 season for Duquesne, freshman midfielder Hákon Dagur Matthíasson set up the second goal of the contest in a 3-0 win over Seton Hill (8/21) at Rooney Field. He fed redshirt junior Jaxon Ervin, who sliced one into the net at 27:21 to give the Dukes a 2-0 cushion. Ervin is Duquesne's active career points leader with 20 points thanks to six goals and eight assists, and the Dukes are a perfect 6-0 when he scores in a game since the beginning of the 2024 campaign.
 
Power Pack – Duquesne's 1-0 win at Syracuse (9/5) helped the Dukes improve to 3-1-1 (.700) against teams from a power conference over the last four years. In 2022, Duquesne opened its season with a 1-0 victory at Michigan (8/25/22) out of the Big Ten. The following year as part of Fairfield Inn by Marriott Invitational, which was hosted by James Madison, the Dukes earned a 5-1 triumph over Virginia Tech (8/27/23) out of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Last season, Duquesne finished with a 1-1 tie at No. 23 Notre Dame (9/10/24), also out of the ACC, before its road win against the Orange.
 
One – Since the beginning of the 2021 campaign, the Dukes own a record of 31-10 (.756) in one-goal matches. Included in that stretch is an 18-4 (.818) record in such games at Rooney Field and a 13-6 (.684) mark on the road.
