Davidson, N.C. -- The Duquesne men's and women's tennis featured seven competitors in the Atlantic 10 Conference Masters over the weekend.
DU's lone singles victory of the weekend came when
Mila Badics defeated Francisca Gomez-Weiss of Saint Louis (7-5, 6-2) in the west bracket. Badics had previously dropped a matchup in the east bracket.
Alexandra O'Brien fell in matchups in both the east and west bracket to competitors from VCU (6-4, 7-6 (13-11)) and Davidson (7-6 (7-4), 6-2).
Duquesne struggled in men's open singles with
Enrique Lana falling to Davidson's Kai Villagomez (6-3, 7-5). Aril Kyra Tuna dropped a matchup to Alfred Amasi of VCU (6-1, 6-3).
In doubles play, the team of
Austin Lai and
Gianluca Citadini defeated Andres Castellanos and Alejandro Ochoa from Saint Louis (8-1) before falling to Mats Bredschneijder and Erwann Bouchet from VCU (8-2). The duo of
Mila Badics and
Jasa Roka fell to Bryson Langford and Savanna Kollock from Davidson 8-3

Duquesne women's tennis will take the trip up the turnpike to compete in the Cleveland State Invitational in Cleveland, Ohio from Friday, Oct. 10, to Sunday, Oct. 12. The men will be idle before competing in the same invitational over the weekend of Friday, Oct. 24, to Sunday, Oct. 26.
