PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University men's tennis team began its fall portion of the 2023-24 schedule over the weekend at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
The Dukes posted a 3-5 record in singles play and went 2-1 in doubles competition before weather forced an abrupt ending to Saturday's action.
Eight different players competed in the singles potion of the invitational for Duquesne. Senior
Kaipo Marshall (6-1, 6-2), sophomore
Keita Duclos (6-4, 6-3), and senior
Tamirlan Teberikov (6-4, 6-3) earned straight set victories.
In doubles, Teberikov and sophomore transfer
Alfrendo Vogelaar teamed up for a 6-3 victory, then Teberikov was back at it alongside freshman
Amit Cohen for a dominating 6-0 win.
