PITTSBURGH – Duquesne swimming is back home this weekend to host Buffalo on Friday at 5:00 P.M. ET. Divers will go to Buffalo to compete on Friday through Sunday.
Last weekend, Duquesne hosted Youngstown State and Niagara on Senior Day, dominating by winning every women's event of the day. Sophomore
Haley Scholer won five different events to pace the Dukes – the 400-yard medley relay, the 200 fly, the 200 free relay, the 500 free and the 400 free relay. She was also named the
A-10 Swimming and Diving Women's Performer of the Week on Wednesday.
Senior
Sydney Sherman was right behind Scholer with wins in four events – the 400 medley relay, the 200 free relay, the 100 free and the 400 free relay. Five other swimmers won two events, and another four each won one.

Graduate student
Amy Read also fared well this past weekend, winning both diving events on Jan. 6 against Youngstown State and Niagara. She won the 3-meter and 1m dives. For that recap,

Prior to last week, Scholer competed at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open on Dec. 2 and 3. She put up two top-15 finishes in the 200-meter back prelims and finals while finishing in 27
th-place in the 100m back.
Back in November, Duquesne swimming finished in second-place at the Magnus Cup with a final team total of 866.5 points. Sophomore
Orla Egan won the 500 free - A final and the 1,650 free - C final. Senior
Sydney Sherman also won a couple events - the 50 free - B final and the 200 free - C final.
On the diving side, Read shined at the WVU Invite on Nov. 17-19 as she won the women's platform finals, the 1m prelims and the 3m consolations. She placed second in the 1m finals.
