CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Duquesne women's swimming and diving teams each competed this weekend, with the swim team at the Magnus Cup in Cleveland while diving was at the WVU Invite.
Swimming took second place at the Magnus Cup with a final team total of 866.5 points, trailing only Akron. Duquesne ended each day in second place as a team, staying consistent all weekend. Sophomore
Orla Egan had herself a nice weekend, winning the 500 free - A final and the 1,650 free - C final. Senior
Sydney Sherman also won a couple events - the 50 free - B final and the 200 free - C final.
Over at the WVU Invite, graduate student
Amy Read shined as she won the women's platform finals, the 1m prelims and the 3m consolations. She placed second in the 1m finals.
