YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Duquesne men's tennis team competed at the Youngstown State Hidden Duals this past weekend. The Dukes took on Binghamton, St. Bonaventure and host-YSU.
 
The tandem of Joey Matthews and Liam Wickwire went 3-0 in doubles competition at the two-day event to lead the team. They beat the St. Bonaventure team of Sanchez & Riemann 7-5, defeated Pergel & Srivastava of Binghamton 6-2, and picked up the team's lone point against Youngstown State with a 6-3 win over the team of Everett & Alvarez.
 
The Dukes will travel to Annapolis, Maryland for the ITA Regional Championships on Friday, Oct. 15-18. Players advance out of the regional to the Super Regional (Oct. 22-25 at Old Dominion) by reaching the quarterfinal round in singles or the semifinal round in doubles.
