HARRISONBURG, Va. - James Madison's Tate Steinour outlasted Dane Bendel at #6 singles to clinch a 4-3 victory for JMU on Saturday afternoon at the Hillside Courts.
James Madison opened up the match by taking the double point, although the #2 team of Tim Kane and Jared Isaacs won their match 7-5.
In singles, Adam Blasinsky, Kane and Isaacs battled their opponents to victory in three sets at #2, #3 and #4 respectively.
With JMU winning at #1 and #5 singles, the match came down to the #6 spot. Bendel was down 4-1 in the 1st set and came back to win 7-5. However, Steinour won the next two sets 6-2 and 6-4 to solidify the win for James Madison.
UP NEXT: The Dukes travel to Kentucky to face #34 Louisville (12-4) on Mar. 31st.
