QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne men's tennis won its third straight match of the season after wins over Mercyhurst and Niagara this weekend.
The Dukes started out in Erie to face Mercyhurst on Friday evening. Playing Division II rules, the double matches counted as three points as opposed to the DI rules, one point. The Dukes swept the double point and took five of the six singles matches in the 8-1 victory.
On Saturday, Duquesne traveled to Niagara. The Dukes shutout the Purple Eagles 5-0.
For the weekend, Corey Robinson and Dimitris Stavropoulos each went undefeated at #1 and #2 singles respectively. Robinson also picked up a pair of wins at #1 doubles with partner Harry Walshe. Chris Corrao also won twice at #2 doubles with partner Adam Blasinsky against MC and Tim Kane against Niagara. Kane also won at #3 doubles with Stavropoulos against Mercyhurst.
