QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne men's tennis team opened the 2015 Atlantic 10 schedule with a 5-2 road victory at St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon.
The Dukes opened with sweeping the doubles point. The #1 team of Harry Walshe and Alex Aleman won in a breaker 8-7 (7-5). Both the #2 and #3 teams - Rich Robbie and Tim Kane, Adam Blasinsky and Andrew Ong were 8-5 victors.
In singles, Robbie made a comeback at #1 after dropping the 1st set 6-3 to win the next two sets 7-5 and 6-3. The same with Alexman at #2. He lost the 1st set 6-4, then came back to win the 2nd set 6-4 and the 3rd 7-6. Mehdi Mekaoui breezed to a 6-0, 6-2 win at #5 and Tim Kane split the first two sets before winning 10-2 in a breaker at #6 singles.
This was the seventh straight victory for the Dukes over the Bonnies.
