Two Doubles Teams Crowned Champions at Navy Invite

LOCATION: Annapolis, Md.

FORMAT: No team scoring, but teams played head-to-head

QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne men's tennis team finished out the Fall 2015 season at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md.

The Dukes, who played head-to-head against UMBC, Saint Joseph's and Loyola University also competed against select players from Navy, who supplemented the opponent's roster.

The doubles teams Adam Blasinsky / Tim Kane and Drew Akins / Dane Bendel were crowned 3rd and 4th flight champions. Blasinsky and Kane won all three matches, while Akins and Bendel went 2-1.

In singles, Corey Robinson defeated Renire Moolman of Saint Joseph's 6-2, 7-6. Blasinsky was a winner over SJU's Adres Urrea 6-4, 6-2. Harry Walshe was perfect over Tyler Blessing of Loyola 6-0, 6-0 and Kane defeated Alex Castro of Loyola 6-3, 6-4.

UP NEXT: The Dukes are off until Jan. 23, 2016 when they travel to Cleveland State.
