Men's Tennis Falls to Carnegie Mellon 6-3

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne men's tennis team played its first match of the season outdoors on Friday afternoon. The Dukes fell to the Tartans 6-3.

The match, which was played with Division III rules (doubles counted as three points as opposed to one), began with CMU winning all three doubles points.

In singles, the Dukes closed the gap to 3-2 after Rich Robbie and Harry Walshe were winners at #1 and #5. The Tartans took #6 and #3 singles to clinch the match before Pete Carpenter's victory at #2.

Duquesne (11-5, 4-1 A-10) returns to the outdoor courts on April 17th when they travel to Youngstown State.
