Duquesne's men's tennis team improved to 6-2 on the season with a 6-1 victory over visiting Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure Saturday afternoon at The Club Sport and Health.

After dropping two of the three doubles matches to lose the doubles point, the Dukes came to life and won all six singles matches in straight sets.

"It's always great to get a conference win so we are happy with the result," said head coach Rob Castille. "We came out very flat in doubles and this is something I need to correct this week in practice. But the guys came out in singles and were sharp from the very first point. I'm very pleased with how they responded after doubles."

"We will look to have a good week of practice as we have two tough conference matches next weekend in Temple and Saint Joseph's."

The Red and Blue return to action Feb. 17-18 as they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Owls Friday at noon and the Hawks Saturday at 4:00 pm.
