Feb. 14, 2011

Results

Duquesne's men's tennis team won its third straight match with a 7-0 blanking of Colgate Friday afternoon in Hamilton, N.Y.

The Dukes won all six singles matches and won two of three doubles matches. Aram Abgaryan, Steve Herchko, Mikhael Rasner and Max Rubin each won twice on the day.

"We beat a fiesty Colgate team today that battled to the very end," said head coach Rob Castille. "I was a little worried that the guys might be looking ahead to next weekend's A-10 matches with Xavier and George Washington but was pleased they stayed focused on this match and got the W. We need to correct a few things this week in practice and will need to play at a high level against two very good teams in Xavier and GW."

The Dukes return to action on Friday, Feb. 18 as they face three-time defending Atlantic 10 champion Xavier at 6:00 p.m. at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville.
