Duquesne's men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule with two weekend victories. The Dukes defeated Colgate, 5-2 and downed Niagara, 4-3 Sunday morning in Niagara, N.Y. to improve their record to 5-0 on the 2007-08 season.
Sophomore Mark Maciuch went 3-0 on the day, winning both of his singles matches and his lone doubles match. Sophomore Zach Skorupka went 2-0, with both wins coming at third singles. Freshman Steve Herchko also went 2-0, winning twice in doubles action, including the decisive victory versus Niagara.
The Red and Blue return to action next weekend as they travel to Bloomsburg on Friday and Bucknell on Saturday.
