Dukes Take Youngstown State, 6-1

Boardman, Ohio - Duquesne's men's tennis team won all their singles matches as they grabbed a 6-1 win over Youngstown State Saturday evening at the Boardman Tennis Center in Ohio.

Freshmen Gustavo Villares and Jeremy McClelland won in straight sets to kick off the singles contests. Junior Paul Clough, Michael Ortega and Adam Townsend and freshman Mark Maciuch took their YSU opponents in three sets each.

Youngstown State, which has been very strong this season in doubles competition, swept all three games for the doubles point.

The Dukes, who are 11-2 this season, are off until their annual spring trip to the warmer climes in Orlando, Florida where the Red & Blue will face Stetson on Monday, March 5, Toledo on Wed. Mar. 7, and Florida Tech on Thursday, March 8, 2007.
