Petrochko Named to 2025-26 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team

Sophomore owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average as a biochemistry major

Pittsburgh, Pa. – Sophomore Sasha Petrochko of the Duquesne University golf team was named to the 2025-26 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team Monday. A biochemistry major, Petrochko has maintained a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) during her undergraduate tenure with the Dukes.

Petrochko, a native of Hermitage, Pa., is a two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference honoree, collecting the honor in both 2025 and 2026, and is joined on the 2025-26 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team by Grace Hui of Loyola Chicago and Maya Beasley, Hannah Lydic and Olivia Wilkie of Richmond. During the 2025-26 season, Petrochko led Duquesne with an average round of 76.1, accumulating 1,675 shots in 22 rounds of action.

The best performance for Petrochko during her sophomore season came at the Nittany Lion Invitational in September, when she handed in a 214 over the course of 54 holes at the Penn State Blue Course. She opened with a 70 (-2) in the first round, matched that score in the second round and concluded the tournament with a 74 (+2) in round three. By finishing two under par for the three rounds, Petrochko became the first player in program history to finish a tournament under par while finishing third individually.

Petrochko would go on and match her best score over the course of 54 holes at the Space Coast Classic, presented by MoonGolf, in Melbourne, Fla., in February. She opened with a 70 (-2) at Duran Golf Club before carding a 73 (+1) in round two. Petrochko closed the tournament with a 71 (-1) to again finish two under for the tournament and tied for sixth individually.

A two-time Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week throughout the 2025-26 campaign, Petrochko has garnered eight weekly honors from the conference office through her first two years on the Bluff. A three-time A-10 Golfer of the Week during her career, she was also a five-time A-10 Rookie of the Week during her first season at the NCAA Division I level in 2024-25.

Petrochko has played every round of every tournament for Duquesne in the program's first two seasons, a total of 42 rounds, and owns a career scoring average of 76.0. According to Scoreboard, powered by Clippd, Petrochko finished the 2025-26 season ranked No. 719 out of 1,652 golfers in NCAA Division I with an adjusted scoring average of 76.6 and weighted points of 12.59. Her performances at the Nittany Lion Invitational (28.50) and Space Coast Classic (27.46) were the best of Petrochko's career according to weighted points.
