Pittsburgh, Pa. – A total of five student-athletes from the Duquesne University women's golf team were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for 2025-26. Earning the honor for the Dukes are junior Lindsey Powanda and sophomores Katie Caryl, Katie Fodale, Sasha Petrochko and Abby Slankster.

To garner the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better, be an amateur and on a program's roster through the conclusion of a team's season and have played in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year through the team's conference championship.

Powanda, a nursing major, has maintained a 3.77 cumulative GPA during her time at Duquesne, while Caryl is an international security studies major and has posted a 3.92 GPA through her first two years on the Bluff. Fodale and Petrochko each own a perfect 4.00 GPA through their first two years with the program, with Fodale a biology major and Petrochko a biochemistry major, while Slankster studies finance and has logged a 3.89 cumulative GPA.

Led by head coach Colleen Meyers, Duquesne finished fourth at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship, with Slankster leading the way for the Dukes with a 54-hole score of 240. Petrochko, meanwhile, is a two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team honoree and is the only member of the Dukes to play all 42 rounds in the first two seasons Duquesne has had an NCAA Division I program. She owns a career scoring average of 76.024.
