Lexington, Ky. – Freshmen Mary Grusky and Makayla Keck represented Duquesne University Thursday at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional at the University of Kentucky. Keck recorded a top throw of 47.17m (154-9) to finish 24th, while Grusky placed 26th with a mark of 46.84m (153-8).

RESULTS

The duo, which traded the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on Duquesne's all-time javelin leaderboard throughout the season, became the program's first NCAA qualifiers in the event since 2016 and just the third and fourth javelin qualifiers in school history. Grusky and Keck also were the first Duquesne freshmen to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships since Melissa Stewart in the discus in 2003.
