Morgantown, W.Va. – Duquesne track and field sophomore Rose Kuchera reset her own program record in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.57 meters (41-3) Saturday at the WVU Last Chance meet, highlighting a weekend that saw Dukes compete across three last chance meets. Kuchera competed twice during the week and won the triple jump at both meets. The school-record leap came on her first attempt Saturday at West Virginia, bettering the mark set during her freshman season by two inches. Kuchera won Thursday's Akron Last Chance meet with a long of 12.35 meters (40-6.25).

Junior Mia Pierce also posted victories at both the WVU and Akron meets. Pierce recorded a season-best 49.52 meters (162-6) in the discus at Akron before following with a 47.78-meter (156-9) throw Saturday at West Virginia.

On the men's side, Spencer Edey won the triple jump at the Akron Last Chance meet with a mark of 14.34 meters (47-0.75), while Dino Nadarevic competed in the discus.

Ben Shields represented the Dukes Friday at the Harrison Dillard Twilight hosted by Baldwin Wallace, placing fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:32.73.
