PITTSBURGH — The Duquesne lacrosse team will look to snap its three-game skid on Saturday as it travels to Davidson for an Atlantic 10 matchup.

  • Corinne Webb scored a career-high six goals, all in the second half.
  • Mackenzie Leszczynski tallied two goals and three assists for a five-point performance.
  • Addison Scanlon, Mia Piocquidio, Chelsea Evans, and Gracin Emerson all scored once.
  • Scanlon, a freshman, extended her team-leading scoring streak to four games.
  • Emerson also recorded three assists, extending her assist streak to seven straight games and bringing her season total to 21.
  • Hanna Pawela paced the defense with five caused turnovers, three ground balls, and five draw controls ... She has now recorded 5+ caused turnovers in three of the last five games.

THE DUKES

  • Duquesne started A-10 play 2-0, its best conference start since 2014, but has since dropped three straight.
  • The Dukes rank third in Division I and first in the A-10 with 12.6 caused turnovers per game. They also rank 16th nationally in ground balls, averaging 18.9 per game.
    • Last season, Duquesne led all of Division I in ground balls (22.82 per game) and ranked second in caused turnovers (14.47 per game).
  • Hanna Pawela leads the A-10 and ranks seventh nationally in caused turnovers (2.90 per game) ... Also second in the A-10 and 13th in Division I in ground balls (3.00 per game).
    • Last season, Pawela led DI in caused turnovers and ranked second in ground balls.

  • Davidson has won four straight games, their longest streak of the season, including three A-10 victories: 14-11 vs. Richmond, 18-7 vs. Rhode Island, and 18-2 at George Mason. Their only conference loss came in double overtime at Saint Joseph's.

  • In last year's A-10 tournament, Davidson entered as the No. 3 seed, defeated George Mason in the opening round, and fell to eventual champion Richmond in the semifinals.
  • Statistically: Davidson leads the A-10 and ranks top-six nationally in both goals allowed (8.4 per game) and save percentage (52.8%) ... Offensively, the Wildcats rank 18th in Division I in shot percentage (47%), the best mark in the A-10 ... Also second in the conference in goals per game (14.0) ... Davidson ranks 17th nationally with 7.10 assists/game, boasts the best clearing percentage in the A-10 (90.6%), and is second in the league in free position percentage (46.6%).

  • Mackenzie Leszczynski
    • Ranks third all-time at Duquesne with 197 career draw controls, just one shy of second place.
