THE DUKES

  • Last Time Out: Duquesne dropped its road finale, 19-8, at George Washington last Saturday. Chloe Holmes led the offense with a season-high three goals, while Megan Marco added two. Gracin Emerson recorded three assists and a goal, and Addison Scanlon and Abigail Krogmann each found the net.
  • National Leaders: Junior Gracin Emerson and senior Emma Raines continue to pace the nation statistically. Emerson leads Division I in assists per game (4.36), while Raines ranks No. 1 nationally in shot percentage (65.3%).
  • Raining Goals: Emma Raines leads the Dukes with 32 goals, averaging 2.46 per game to rank ninth in the Atlantic 10. She has a team-high seven hat tricks this season and recorded her 10th multi-goal game in the La Salle win.
  • In The Record Book:
    • Gracin Emerson continues to build on the Duquesne single-season assist record with 62. The junior from East Lansing, Michigan, surpassed the previous mark in Game 9 and has totaled 72 points this season, ranking 10th on the program's single-season list (record: 80). Emerson leads the nation in assists per game (4.36) and ranks 11th nationally in points per game (5.14). She has tied the program's single-game assist record (seven) twice and is one of only four Division I players with multiple seven-assist performances this season, posting six or more assists in four games.
    • Freshman Madison Welch has set the program's single-game draw control record twice (14 at Mercyhurst, 15 vs. George Mason) and has recorded seven or more draws in six of the last seven games. Her 94 draw controls rank second in program history, trailing only Maddie Hart's 117 in 2019. Welch is second in the A-10 and ranks among the top 30 nationally, averaging 6.71 draws per game.
  • Defensive Dukes: Three Dukes rank among the top seven in the Atlantic 10 in caused turnovers per game — Chelsea Evans (2nd, 2.00), Casey McBride (3rd, 1.79) and Addison Scanlon (7th, 1.36). Scanlon and Evans are also tied for sixth in the league in ground balls per game (2.21). Freshman goalkeeper Ella Roach ranks second in the A-10 with 9.21 saves per game and has recorded double-digit saves in six games.
  • Weekly Honors: Chelsea Evans earned A-10 Defensive Player of the Week following the La Salle win, while Madison Welch was named A-10 Rookie of the Week after her record-setting performance against George Mason.

  • Richmond stands at the top of the conference standings entering the final weekend of play. The lone unbeaten A-10 team, the Spiders (12-3, 8-0) have already secured at least a share of the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in next week's A-10 Championship tournament in Davidson, NC.
  • Led by fifth-year head coach Anne Harrington, Richmond owns the No. 10 scoring offense in the country at 15.20 goals per game and allows just 8.27 for a top-10 scoring margin of plus nearly seven goals. They also are top-10 nationally in assists per game (8.47), and draw controls (15.8 per game).
  • All eight A-10 wins have been by nine or more goals, the spiders are coming off a 16-7 win over Davidson in their home finale/.
  • Senior attack Alexis Morton leads the offense with a conference-high 85 points (50 goals, 35 assists), which also ranks top-10 for points in Division I this season. Goalkeeper Abby Francioli is the A-10 save percentage leader at 47.7%.

30TH SEASON OF DUKES LACROSSE
Duquesne lacrosse is celebrating its 30th season as a varsity program on the Bluff in 2026. The Dukes, who began play in 1997, own an all-time record of 241-243 and have made 15 Atlantic 10 Championship appearances, highlighted by two regular-season co-championships.
