Â
Ice Tre – Few have been as consistent of a scorer for Duquesne this season than senior guard
Tre Dinkins III, who led five players in double figures in the 2024-25 regular-season finale at Saint Louis (March 8) with 16 points while also handing out six assists and registering three steals. It marked the 16th consecutive game Dinkins III has scored in double figures, a stretch in which he is averaging 15.4 points, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game while knocking down 43.1 percent (85-for-197) of his attempts from the field, including 38.6 percent (44-for-114) from beyond the arc, and 84.6 percent (33-for-39) at the free-throw line. Dinkins III owns the longest double-figure scoring streak by a member of the Dukes since former guard Aaron Jackson (2005-09) closed out his career by scoring 10 or more points in each of his final 22 games on the Bluff during the 2008-09 season. Included in that stretch for Jackson was a 46-point effort in a 116-108 double overtime loss at Virginia Tech (March 18) in the first round of the 2009 National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
Â
Three's Company – Thanks to a pair of three-pointers in Duquesne's regular-season finale at Saint Louis (March 8), senior guard
Tre Dinkins III pushed his season total in triples for 2024-25 to 76, becoming the ninth different player in program history to connect for at least 75 three-pointers in a season. Dinkins III enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship tied for 11th in the program single-season records for three-point field goals along with Jimmy Tricco (2002-04), who connected on 42.9 percent (76-for-177) of his attempts during his first season on the Bluff in 2002-03. Dinkins III needs a pair of three-pointers to crack the top 10 in the single-season record book for triples and four more to become the seventh player in program history to drain at least 80 in a season. Dinkins III ranks ninth in the Atlantic 10 this season in three-point field goals made per game (2.47) as well as 11th in three-point field goal success rate (.388). Dinkins III has connected for at least one three-pointer in 16 straight games, has hit at least two in 20 of Duquesne's 31 contests (64.5%) and matched a career high with six triples in an
85-68 win over George Mason (March 1) on Senior Day at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Â
Candid Cam – Speaking of three-point proficiency, redshirt junior guard
Cam Crawford has provided a spark in the department. In Duquesne's regular-season finale at Saint Louis (March 8), Crawford contributed 14 points, four rebounds and four assists, finishing 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. In 18 Atlantic 10 games, Crawford was successful on 46.5 percent (33-for-71) of his attempts from deep, a three-point field goal percentage that led the circuit. Overall during the 2024-25 campaign, Crawford ranks second in the Atlantic 10 at 44 percent (44-for-100), trailing only Anthony Finkley of Saint Joseph's, who has been successful on 44.8 percent (37-for-87) of his attempts. Crawford has scored in double figures 16 times this season, with Duquesne owning a record of 11-5 (.688) in those games and each of those occasions having come in the last 23 contests. Despite just
two points against VCU (March 4) in the final home game of the 2024-25 season, Crawford enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship having produced averages of 12.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals over his last six games while shooting 53.2 percent (25-for-47) from the field, including 50 percent (12-for-24) from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent (10-of-12) at the charity stripe.
Â
Maximum Overdrive – Redshirt junior guard
Maximus Edwards is playing some of his best basketball of the 2024-25 season as Duquesne enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship, as he has scored in double figures in each of the last three games. It marks the first time this season Edwards has scored 10 or more points in three consecutive contests and he is averaging 15.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists during that stretch, including his third effort of the year reaching the 20-point plateau when he led the Dukes against VCU (March 4) with 20 points. During that same span, Edwards has shot 47.1 percent (16-for-34) from the field, including 38.9 percent (7-for-18) from deep, and 80 percent (8-of-10) at the free-throw line. Edwards is 32 points shy of 1,000 for his NCAA Division I career, a span of 94 games in which he has averaged 10.3 points per contest.
Â
Creating & Creating – While senior guard
Tre Dinkins III has proven to be a consistent scorer for the Dukes this season, he's also adept at distributing the basketball. Thanks to six assists in the 2024-25 regular-season finale at Saint Louis (March 8), Dinkins III pushed his career total in dimes to 254, becoming the second member of the Dukes this year to reach 250 career assists and joining junior guard
Kareem Rozier, who enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship as the program's active leader in the category with 258. Dinkins III enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship averaging 4.2 assists over the last 10 games while also posting an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.91 in the same time frame. Overall this season, Rozier and Dinkins III are the only teammates to rank in the top 10 in the Atlantic 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio, with Rozier (3.22) pacing the circuit and Dinkins (1.83) sitting 10th.
Â
Did You Know? A total of 61.3 percent (19-of-31) of Duquesne's games during the 2024-25 season have been decided by nine points or less. Of those 19 games, the outcome of 11 has been decided by five points or fewer. In nine Atlantic 10 road games this season, Duquesne was outscored by a total of 14 points, with the seven losses by a combined 27 points (3.86 average margin of defeat).
Â
Eli On The Block – Sophomore forward
Eli Wilborn has developed into a solid post presence for the Dukes in recent weeks, as he matched a season high in scoring against VCU (March 4) with 14 points. Wilborn enters the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship having averaged 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks over the last six games while converting 64.9 percent (24-for-37) of his shots from the field. Of his 26 rebounds during that stretch, an astounding 53.8 percent (14-of-26) of those have come on the offensive glass. Those efforts are a key reason the Dukes rank fifth in the Atlantic 10 in offensive rebounds with an average of 11.7 per contest. Duquesne is 3-1 (.750) this season when Wilborn scores in double figures, while he ranks second on the team in dunks with 21.
Â
Mix and Match – As Duquesne gets set for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship, the Dukes have seemingly settled into a 10-man rotation that provides both length and depth. Look no further than junior forward
Matúš Hronský. Having started each of the last 10 games for Duquesne, Hronský is the 10th different player on the roster this season to start at least 10 games. Four Dukes have started at least 20 games, including senior guard
Tre Dinkins III with a team-high 29 as well as senior forward
Jahsean Corbett (22), redshirt junior guard
Cam Crawford (21) and sophomore forward
Jakub Necas (20). In all during the 2024-25 campaign, Duquesne has used nine different starting lineups, with the active leader for starts on the Bluff junior guard
Kareem Rozier with 31.    Â
Â
100/100 – Junior forward
David Dixon joined an exclusive group in an 85-68 victory over George Mason (March 1) at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. His first dunk of the contest, which came at the 11:02 mark of the first half, helped Dixon become just the second player in program history to reach career totals of both 100 dunks and 100 blocks. Former forward Damian Saunders (2008-11) owns career records in both categories with 166 jams and 300 rejections. Dixon contributed 14 points off the bench in the win against the Patriots, helping Duquesne improve to 5-1 (.833) this season when he scores in double figures as well as 16-7 (.696) over the last three seasons when he turns the trick. He enters Thursday's game vs. St. Bonaventure with career totals of 104 dunks and 128 blocks. Â
Â
Isn't It Ironic? Don't You Think? Duquesne had a 38-game winning streak snapped when the first to reach 70 points in the 2024-25 regular-season finale, a 90-88 overtime loss at Saint Louis (March 8). The Dukes had grabbed a 71-68 lead over the Billikens with 6:55 remaining in regulation thanks to redshirt junior guard
Maximus Edwards, who hit a jumper in the paint. The lead swelled to 80-74 with under a minute to go before SLU got a pair of three-pointers from Isaiah Swope in the final 38.4 seconds to tie the game and help send it to overtime. Duquesne's other overtime contest this season,
an 85-81 win over Saint Joseph's (Jan. 8) at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, saw the Hawks grab a 70-69 edge with 2:13 to go in the second half thanks to a three-point play from Rasheer Fleming before the Dukes charged back to win. The and one from Fleming was one of four lead changes in the final four minutes of regulation. The overtime period against SJU featured two ties and two lead changes, with junior forward
David Dixon snapping an 80-80 tie with 4.8 seconds by burying a three-pointer to help lift the Dukes to victory.
Â
Yo-Yo – As for lead changes, the up-and-down nature of college basketball has never been more apparent this year than with Duquesne. Working five new players into the rotation and the Dukes looking to find their groove, the 31 games of the 2024-25 season have featured an amazing 112 ties (3.61 per game) and 168 lead changes (5.42 per contest). The season high for ties and lead changes for Duquesne both came in a
65-63 setback at Fordham (Jan. 26) that opened a two-game road trip. Neither team had a lead larger than six in a contest that featured 12 ties and 15 lead changes. The Dukes matched their season high for lead changes with 15 in their 2024-25 regular-season finale at Saint Louis (March 8), as Duquesne led for 24:08 in the contest compared to 16:15 for the Billikens. The largest lead for SLU was with 9:26 to go in the first half, 27-19, while the biggest lead for DU came with 41 seconds left, 80-74, after a jumper from senior guard
Tre Dinkins III. In the five minutes of overtime against the Billikens there was one tie and three lead changes.
Â
Run With The Pack – Maximus Edwards provided a spark for Duquesne early in the second half of its game against VCU (March 4), as out of a timeout and the Dukes facing their largest deficit, 45-31, he scored 11 consecutive points in under two minutes to close the deficit to four, 46-42, with 14:46 to play and force the Rams to call a 30-second timeout. It marks the second personal run of at least 10 points during the 2024-25 season for Edwards, who also scored 13 straight points for the Dukes in the first half of a 73-65 victory at George Washington (Jan. 15). Edwards is also one of three players this season for Duquesne to record a personal run of at least 10 points, each of which have come in the last 15 games. A closer look at each of the personal runs of at least 10 points by a student-athlete for the Dukes during the 2024-25 campaign ...

Â
Point Break – Junior guard
Kareem Rozier eclipsed 250 career assists thanks to five dimes against just one turnover at St. Bonaventure (Feb. 22) and has been one of the best in NCAA Division I this season protecting the rock. Not only does Rozier lead the Atlantic 10 in assist-to-turnover ratio overall this year (3.22), the total ranks ninth in NCAA Division I. During his career on the Bluff, Rozier, who is Duquesne's active leader for consecutive games played (89), has compiled a career assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.74. He has handed out at least five assists on eight occasions so far during the 2024-25 season, including a career-high seven dimes in an 85-81 overtime win over Saint Joseph's (Jan. 8), with the Dukes 5-3 (.625) in those contests. Rozier, in addition to have played 89 consecutive games for Duquesne, appeared in his 100th game at Saint Louis (March 8), becoming the first player for the Dukes to reach the plateau since Eric James (2014-18) in 2018.
