In the opener, UDM trailed by four goals in the fourth quarter and rallied to get within one with 2:33 to play, but the game-tying score eluded the Titans ultimately falling to New Hampshire, 12-11 on the road.
  • This is the second of three straight road games to start the season for the Titans, next they'll take on Pitt on Monday at Highmark Stadium.
  • Last season, UDM went 3-11 with a 2-6 mark in the MAC ... The Titans were 2-5 on the road in 2023.
  • Detroit Mercy is in its 16th season as a program and first-year head coach Madeline Dugan is the sixth in program history ... With an all-time record of 85-158, UDM has struggled since joining the MAC in 2020 with an 8-40 overall record.
  • The Titans return 23 letterwinners and nine starters from last year's team ... 12 of the 15 goal scorers also return.
  • Senior Cat Kopchia and junior Meredith Leavell were honored as the MAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, as UDM swept the first honors of the season ... Leavell posted 10 saves with two caused turnovers and a ground ball in the season opener, she led the MAC and was ninth in the nation last season averaging 10.36 saves per game ... Kopchia, the leading returning scorer, began her season with four goals on 10 shots.

HOME SWEET HOME

  • All four of the games during the homestand are against MAC members (Eastern Michigan, Youngstown State, Detroit Mercy, & Akron).

STAT CHECK

  • The Dukes rank top five nationally in caused turnovers per game (14.67 - 4th) and ground balls per game (23.33 - 4th).

WELCOME BACK WEBB

  • Corinne Webb has made an immediate impact early on with a team-leading nine goals after missing all of 2023 with an injury ... She has scored in all three games and has had back-to-back four-goal games.

CURTIS WILL FIND YOU

  • The Dukes are now 23-1 in the Desrosiers Era (since 2019) when scoring more than 15 goals.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE ...

  • Duquesne will look to improve to 3-1, which would be the best start since starting 4-0 in 2019 (Coach Desrosiers first season) ... It would be just the third time (2014 & '19) with three wins in the first four games of a season since 2001.
