UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore
Cameron Bogdan closed out the 2024 season leading the Duquesne University men's cross country team at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday at Penn State. The Dukes finished 16th out of 27.
FULL RESULTS
Bogdan led the Dukes for the fourth time this season and second straight outing turning in a 31:27.7, which was 52 seconds faster from last year's regional time as a freshman. Bogdan, a sophomore from Hamburg, Ny., was 59th overall in the race.
Ben Shields capped an impressive freshman campaign as the second scorer for Duquesne at 31:51.0 in 83rd place. Shields was a top-three finisher for the Dukes in all six of his races this year.
Senior
Casey Padgett had his best time in three regional appearances with a 31:51.6 in 84th.
Junior
Nathaniel Woshner (32:07.6 - 104th place) and sophomore transfer
Mason Stewart (32:29.1 - 120th place) completed the scoring for DU.
Freshman
Anthony Ciecierski (33:48.9 - 162nd) and junior
Jack Barnhisel (33:56.3 - 166th) both ran in their first NCAA regional races.
Villanova won the regional with 50 points and the top-two individual finishers. Duquesne totaled 444 points in its first 10k race of the year.
