Pittsburgh, Pa. – A quartet of Dukes from the men's soccer team were tabbed to the 2023 College Sports Communications Academic (formerly CoSIDA) All-District® Team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The CSC Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

Ask Ekeland has maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.92 while earning a spot on the 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team earlier this season. Ekeland was also named the 2023 A-10 Midfielder of the Year while earning All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors. Sophomore defender
Ashton Jell has boosted a 3.89 GPA while earning a degree in marketing.

Anthony DiFalco has maintained a 3.65 cumulative GPA while junior defender
Christoffer Vie Angell rounds out the quartet as an undeclared arts major, with a 3.58 GPA.
The four Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in December.
Ekeland, Jell, DiFalco, and Vie Angell, are the 22nd through 25th players in program history to earn Academic All-District® honors as the 25 have combined to be named a total of 39 times.
Duquesne has had nine men's soccer players combine to earn 15 Academic All-America® honors in program history.
