Pittsburgh, Pa. – Former forward Jayden Da (2021-23) of the Duquesne University men's soccer team signed a short-term agreement with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer (MLS). Da, a native of Rockville, Md., was eligible to play in the season opener for New England at Nashville Saturday.
In three seasons on the Bluff, Da appeared in 46 matches, including 14 starts, logging a total of 1,764 minutes. He compiled 20 career points with the Dukes thanks to eight goals and four assists.
The best season for Da came in 2023, when he finished with seven goals and three assists for 17 points on 35 shots, 19 of which were on goal, en route to be named to the 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team while also being named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team.
In each of the first six games of his final season at Duquesne in 2023, Da registered a point, finishing with five goals and a pair of assists during that span. He also posted three game-winning goals during the year and was successful on his only attempt on the penalty kick.
Da was the
first student-athlete in program history to be selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft, presented by Adidas, as he was selected by the Columbus Crew with the 29th pick in 2023. During the 2024 MLS NEXT campaign, Da finished with nine goals and five assists for Columbus Crew 2 after signing a
contract with the organization in March of 2024.
During the 2025 MLS NEXT season, Da spent the year rehabbing after a season-ending injury. He appeared in New England's final preseason match prior to the beginning of the 2026 regular season, playing 30 minutes against Hartford Athletic and registering an assist.
Duquesne is led by head coach
Chase Brooks, who will enter his 14th season leading the program in 2026. Brooks has compiled an overall record of 97-92-29 (.507) during his tenure with the Dukes and is the program's all-time leader in coaching victories. In 15 years as a head coach overall, Brooks has amassed a record of 119-98-38 (.541).
