Six Named to CSC Academic All-District® Team

Pittsburgh, Pa. – A total of six student-athletes from the Duquesne University men's soccer team were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team Tuesday. Bestowed the plaudit for the Dukes were seniors Ashton Jell and Dakota Jonke, redshirt junior Jaxon Ervin and sophomores Bendix Bennetzen, Miles Imparato and Marko Rasmussen.

To be honored as a CSC Academic All-District® Team member, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale and compete in 90 percent of an institution's matches or start at least 66 percent of the contests.

Jell, a marketing major and a native of Lancaster, N.Y., has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.95. He appeared in 15 matches in his final season for Duquesne, including 12 starts, and scored four points thanks to a goal and a pair of assists. Over the course of four years with the program, Jell played in 52 matches, earning 47 starts, and recorded 10 points with three goals and four assists. Jell earns CSC Academic All-District® accolades for the third consecutive year thanks to his honor in 2025.

Earning his first CSC Academic All-District® award with the Dukes is Jonke, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.65 as a finance major. He finished second for Duquesne in scoring in 2025 with 10 points thanks to four goals and a pair of assists in 16 games, including six starts. In two seasons on the Bluff, Jonke has appeared in 31 games and has amassed six goals and four assists for 16 points.

Ervin, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., earns his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District® honor as a supply chain management major with a 3.92 cumulative GPA. A two-time member of the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team (2024, 2025), Ervin led Duquesne in scoring in 2025 with 12 points courtesy of a team-high five goals and two assists. In three years on the Bluff, Ervin has started 33 of the 43 games he's appeared in, posting 24 points with eight goals and eight assists.

Bennetzen, Imparto and Rasmussen each earn their first CSC Academic All-District® Team honor in 2025. Bennetzen, a native of Esbjerg, Denmark, is an undeclared arts major with a 3.97 GPA and has started each of Duquesne's 33 games the last two seasons. He owns six career points (goal, four assists) after posting a pair of assists in 2025.

A transfer from Indiana and a native of Tampa, Fla., Imparato gave the Dukes a spark in his first season with the program, tallying seven points with two goals and three assists. He finished fourth on the squad in scoring and while studying entrepreneurship has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.87.

Rasmussen, a native of Silkeborg, Denmark, appeared in all 16 matches for the Dukes in 2025, including one start, and finished with a goal and an assist for three points. In 26 career games on the Bluff since the beginning of the 2024 season, Rasmussen owns five points and as a marketing major has posted a GPA of 3.97.

Duquesne is led by Chase Brooks, who guided the Dukes to an overall record of 8-6-2 (.562) in 2025, the fifth consecutive winning season for the program. The program's all-time leader in coaching victories, Brooks owns a record of 96-93-29 (.507) in 13 seasons as head coach.
