PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University men's and women's cross country teams will be in action for the third straight week competing at the Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green on Friday.

- Duquesne raced at nearby Schenley Park last weekend ... The women took second place for the second straight meet, while the men placed fifth.
- Cydney Blahovec paced the runner-ups with a ninth place finish out of 77 crossing the line in 20:04.4 and was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week - the first weekly award for the Dukes this season.
- Four runners for the women's team ran the CMU 5k in under 21 minutes and placed in the top 21, while four on the men's side finished top 30 in the 90-runner field led by Sam de la Riva charting a 27:13.5 in the 8k race.
- Haley Hamilton led the Dukes the first three meets ... Hamilton placed ninth out of 351 runners in the brown division of the 6000m race at the Paul Short Run with a 21:58.5 … Casey Padgett has led the men's team twice, most recently with a 25:52 in 55th place out of 400 at the Paul Short Run.
- Both Dukes teams won their season opening meet at Saint Francis … Zack Toth and Padgett finished first and second in the meet and had four of the top seven finishers … Hamilton won the women's race and Gina Bolla came in third.
