THE SERIES - vs. DAYTON

• Although the series favors the Flyers by a slim margin (24-21), Dayton has won six of the last seven meetings and 17 out of the last 24 contests with the Dukes.
• Duquesne has lost the past two games against the Flyers. The last time the Dukes defeated Dayton was an 85-57 win at the Palumbo Center in 2019.
• Duquesne has lost each of the last four contests against the Flyers inside UD Arena.
• The last time the Dukes left Dayton with a victory was in 2016 - a 76-72 overtime win. That Duquesne team was ranked No. 23 in the nation at the time of the victory.

LAST MEETING - Jan. 3, 2021

• The Dukes shot only 14 of 55 (25 percent) from the field and 3-of-18 (16 percent) from three-point range in a 64-48 setback at UD Arena last season.
• Megan McConnell led the Dukes with 15 points and was the only player in double figures for Duquesne.
• The team struggled after losing leading-scorer Amanda Kalin to a season-ending injury in the second quarter. She had eight points in the game at the time of the injury.
• The Flyers were led by Erin Whalen and Araion Bradshaw, who scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

SCOUTING DAYTON

• The Flyers are in the midst of a 10-game winning streak and are one of two undefeated teams in the A-10 standings (Rhode Island).
• Dayton leads the A-10 and ranks 23rd in Division I with 42.6 rebounds per game.
• The Flyers also lead the league in three-point field goal percentage (36 percent) and assist-turnover ratio (1.02).
• Dayton takes care of the basketball, averaging 12.9 turnovers per game (2nd in A-10).
• Defensively, the Flyers slot second in the A-10 with a 36.2 field goal percentage defense and fourth with 3.8 blocked shots per game.
• Dayton is coming off of a 70-60 win at Davidson Sunday afternoon.
• Davidson led 34-32 at the half, but the Flyers out-scored the Wildcats 21-4 in the third quarter to pull away.
• Makira Cook finished with a game-high 18 points. She leads the team and ranks sixth in the A-10 with 15.6 ppg.
• Erin Whalen added 11 points at Davidson. She is second on the Flyers and eighth in the A-10 at 15.3 ppg.
• The Flyers out-rebounded Davidson 53-to-31 and were led by a game-high 15 from Kyla Whitehead.
• Whitehead leads the team at 6.7 rebounds per game and is one of four Flyers to average over 4.5 per game.

LAST TIME OUT

• Libby Bazelak eclipsed 1,000 career points and turned in the fifth triple-double in Duquesne women's basketball history to lead the Dukes to a 68-47 win over La Salle Sunday.
• Bazelak was one of four Duquesne players to score in double figures in the victory.
• Tess Myers finished with 20 points, while both Precious Johnson and Megan McConnell posted 12.
• McConnell also added eight rebounds, five assists and five steals.
• The Dukes led La Salle wire-to-wire in the victory.
• Duquesne assisted on 22 of the 26 converted field goals, with five different players notching a dime. The 22 assists were a season-high for the Dukes.
• Duquesne shot 26 of 62 (42 percent), including 10 of 31 (32 percent) from long range.

SHOOTER'S SHOWDOWN

• This game will feature two of the best three-point shooters in the Atlantic 10 in Duquesne's Tess Myers and Dayton's Erin Whalen.
• Myers leads the A-10 and ranks ninth in Division I with 3.05 three-point field goals made per game. Her 61 three pointers ranks eighth in the NCAA and leads the A-10.
• She also slots second in the A-10 with a 39.9 three-point field goal percentage.
• Whalen is right behind Myers with 2.67 three pointer per game and ranks third in percentage (38.7 percent) and fourth in field goals made (48) in the A-10.
