NEW ORLEANS - The Duquesne men's and women's cross country teams each earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team accolades for the Dukes' performance in the classroom and on the course during the season, the organization recently announced.Â
The Duquesne women's team posted a 3.55 GPA, while the men established a 3.52 team GPA. This marks the third-straight season in which both the men's and women's teams earned the laurel from the USTFCCCA.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
There were 150 different men's programs and 168 women's programs that were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2021 season.
