PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne men's cross country team posted a second-place finish at the 2019 Duquesne Duals to open the season on Saturday morning in Schenley Park.
Carnegie Mellon won the event with a score of 24 points followed by the Dukes with 33 and Youngstown State third with 83.
Sam Snodgrass led Duquesne with a third-place mark on the 8K course at 25:34.27. Jacob Heinauer finished fifth at 25:42.97 followed by
Casey Conboy sixth at 25:44.07, Zach Weland seventh at 25:56.92 and
Mark Brown 12th at 26:36.21.
The Dukes are back in action on Friday, Sept. 13 with the George Mason Invitational at the Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Va. Duquesne will compete on the same course for the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship later this season, as well.
