@DuqMTennis Adds Pair of Signees

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne Director of Tennis Vanessa Steiner and assistant coach Othmane Lalami recently announced the signing of a pair of future Dukes for the class of 2020. Nicolas Doria Medina of Cochabamba, Bolivia and Jin Dassanayake of Wellington, New Zealand are slated to join the Dukes this fall.

Medina is a 6-5 right-hander with two-handed backhand. His highest Universal Tennis Rating comes in at 12.67.

Dassanayake is a right-hander with two hands backhand and an 11.20 UTR.

Duquesne coaching staff on Nicolas Doria Medina: "We are very excited about Nicolas's commitment, he comes from a family of athletes that definitely understand what it takes to reach the highest levels. We are looking forward to working with him, and getting him in our team with hopefully a lot of success. "

Nicolas Doria Medina on Duquesne: "I am excited to be attending Duquesne University and I am looking forward to joining the tennis team this Fall. I am determined to meet the challenges I will face there and promise my best efforts both in the classroom and on the court."

Duquesne coaching staff on Jin Dassanayake: "Jin's recruiting seemed to be the perfect fit from the start. He has so much motivation and so much passion for the game. We can't wait to have him on campus, and start working with him."

Jin Dassanayake on Duquesne: "I chose Duquesne because it feels like the perfect fit for me - I can't wait to get there in August!"
