Wexford, Pa. - The Duquesne University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Binghamton on Saturday afternoon, inside the Oxford Athletic Club. With the loss, the Dukes dropped to 4-6 overall this season.
In singles play, Duquesne's lone point came at the No. 5 position.
Arnau Anton Garcia battled back after dropping the opening set to defeat Dylan Breen, 6-7 (6-7), 6-2, 10-3, in a three-set thriller.
The Dukes pushed several matches deep into three sets but were unable to turn the momentum.
Enrique Lana opened strong at No. 1 singles by taking the first set before falling to Ronin Lotlikar, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Aril Kayra Tuna also captured the first set at No. 2 singles before Binghamton's Filipe Costa rallied for a 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory.
Binghamton added additional singles wins at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 to secure the team victory.
