Duquesne (6-3-1, 1-1) returns home for the first time since Sept. 15 for an Atlantic 10 clash with St. Bonaventure (2-6, 0-2) on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. on Rooney Field (ESPN+). The Dukes, who played their past five matches on the road, are coming off a 2-1 loss at Liberty on Tuesday. St. Bonaventure, which is 1-4 on the road, has been idle since a 1-0 loss at Fordham on Sept. 28. The Dukes and Bonnies are both looking to snap three-game losing streaks.
THE SERIES VS. ST BONAVENTURE
- Duquesne leads the overall series 13-8-4, including an 8-3-1 advantage in matches in Pittsburgh.
- St. Bonaventure has won the past two meetings, one of which was a 1-0 (2OT) decision on Rooney Field on Oct. 18, 2017.
- Last year, the Bonnies defeated the Dukes 3-2 in Olean, N.Y.
- Duquesne's last series win was on Oct. 24, 2015 by a 3-0 score in Pittsburgh.

He has three shutouts in 10 starts (vs. Oakland, vs. VMI and at Robert Morris) and has yet to give up more than two scores in a game this season. He began the week tied for fourth nationally in total saves.
- Duquesne has surrendered just 10 goals on 162 shots (61 on goal) through 10 matches.
- Nine of DU's 10 matches have been decided by one or fewer goals. The lone exception was a 2-0 win at Robert Morris on Sept. 18.
- DU's 14 goals this season have come from six players. Sophomore Manel Busquets (5), senior Zach Hall (4) and first-year St. John's transfer Jack Shearer (2) have all scored multiple goals this season.
- Busquets leads the Dukes with 24 shots. Busquets and Hall share the team lead in shots on goal with 10 each.
- Duquesne is in its seventh season under head coach Chase Brooks. Brooks has led the Dukes to three Atlantic 10 Conference tournament appearances (2013, 2015 & 2016).
- The Dukes return eight field players who started 10 or more games last season, including six sophomores: D Mortiz Kappelsberger, D/M Nathan Dossantos, D/M Rob Dymond, F Manel Busquets, D Eric Zech and D Kendall Newman. Newman missed the first five matches of the season due to injury.
- Busquets (11 points, 4 goals) and Dymond (7 points, 3 goals) were DU's top returning point-getters and goal scorers from last season. Hall and Kappelsberger (both 5 points, 2 goals) were next. Dossantos was the only other returnee with a point last year (2 points on one goal).
- Hall leads all returnees in career games (60) and starts (56). Ryan Landry, who is out for the season (foot injury) was next at 45 and 39. No other returning field player entered the season with more than 16 games played (Dossantos, Kappelsberger & Zech at 16 each).
- The Dukes have 11 first-year players on the 2019 roster including nine freshmen (including one redshirt) and a pair of transfers in junior F Jack Shearer (St. John's) and junior F Waleed Charif (West Liberty). Shearer, a native of Aliquippa, Pa., played in 35 matches with 26 starts in two seasons at SJU.
- Duquesne was ranked for two consecutive weeks earlier this season in the Southeast Region of the United Soccer Coaches Poll: No. 10 on Sept. 17 and No. 7 on Sept. 24.
