Duquesne (8-3-1, 3-1), coming off, back-to-back conference wins over St. Bonaventure and George Washington, heads to Ohio to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule at Cleveland State (4-4-1) on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. (ESPN+). CSU, which is 3-0 at home, is coming off a 3-2 win at Ohio State on Saturday. Duquesne, which is 2-3 on the road, is looking to post three road wins for the first time since 2015 (4-4-2).
THE SERIES VS. CLEVELAND STATE
- Duquesne leads the overall series 5-4-1, with CSU holding a 2-1-1 advantage in matches in Cleveland.
- The two met last season in Pittsburgh, with the match suspended due to weather with the score tied at 0-0 at the half.
- DU won the last official meeting between the two, 1-0 in overtime, in Cleveland.
- CSU is 3-0 at home with wins over Robert Morris (4-0), Northern Kentucky (2-1) and Milwaukee (1-0).
- This is Cleveland State's first home game since Sept. 28.
- Duquesne is 2-3 on the road with wins at Robert Morris (2-0) and Saint Joseph's (2-1).

- Duquesne is ranked No. 10 in the Southeast Region of the Oct. 15 United Soccer Coaches Poll. This is the fourth time DU has appeared in the poll this season (No. 10 on Sept. 17, No. 7 on Sept. 24 & No. 8 on Oct. 8).
- Duquesne is coming off a 1-0 win over George Washington on Saturday. Jack Shearer's goal in the 65th minute - his fifth of the season - was the game-winner.
- DU won back-to-back road games at Robert Morris and Saint Joseph's earlier this season. It was the first time since 2009 that a Dukes' team won two straight on the road.

- The four goals were DU's most in a conference game since a 4-0 win over George Washington on Oct. 26, 2014.
- Duquesne won a school record six in a row prior to falling at Saint Francis (2-1) on Sept. 24. The six-game streak broke the school record of five set in 2005 and matched in 2006.
- Sophomore forward Manel Busquets leads the Dukes with six goals and 16 points. The six goals are the most by a Duke since Colin Phillips netted 13 in 2015.
- Busquets leads the A-10 at 1.45 points per game.
- Jack Shearer is second on the team with five goals and Zach Hall is next with four.
- Freshman Nate Dragisich, a two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week (Sept. 16 & Oct. 7), leads the team with five assists. He is tied with Busquets and Shearer for the team lead with two game-winning goals. His 26 shots are second to Busquets' 32.
- Senior goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey, the two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 3 & 23), has 53 saves in 12 games with a 0.81 goals against average. He has five shutouts in 12 starts (vs. Oakland, vs. VMI, at Robert Morris, vs. St. Bonaventure & vs. George Washington) and has yet to give up more than two scores in a game this season. He began the week ranked 13th nationally in total saves.
- Duquesne has surrendered just 10 goals on 182 shots (65 on goal) through 12 matches.
- DU's 19 goals this season have come from six players. Sophomore Manel Busquets (6), first-year St. John's transfer Jack Shearer (5), senior Zach Hall (4) & freshman Nate Dragisich (2) have all scored multiple goals this season.
- Busquets leads the Dukes with 32 shots. Busquets and Shearer (13) are tied for the team lead on shots on goal. Hall and Dragisich (10 each) also have double-digit shots on goal.
- Duquesne is in its seventh season under head coach Chase Brooks. Brooks has led the Dukes to three Atlantic 10 Conference tournament appearances (2013, 2015 & 2016).
- The Dukes return eight field players who started 10 or more games last season, including six sophomores: D Moritz Kappelsberger, D/M Nathan Dossantos, D/M Rob Dymond, F Manel Busquets, D Eric Zech and D Kendall Newman. Newman missed the first five matches of the season due to injury.
- DU has just seven upperclassmen on the roster (seniors Zach Hall, Robbie McKelvey, Owen Rossi, Scott Rissler and injured defender Ryan Landry and juniors Waleed Cherif and Jack Shearer).
- Hall leads all returnees in career games (62) and starts (58). Ryan Landry, who is out for the season (foot injury) was next at 45 and 39. No other returning field player entered the season with more than 16 games played (Dossantos, Kappelsberger & Zech at 16 each).
- The Dukes have 11 first-year players on the 2019 roster including nine freshmen (including one redshirt) and a pair of transfers in junior F Jack Shearer (St. John's) and junior F Waleed Charif (West Liberty). Shearer, a native of Aliquippa, Pa., played in 35 matches with 26 starts in two seasons at SJU.
