The series dates back to the then-Duchesses first year in the Atlantic 10 Conference. In fact, Duquesne's first-ever A-10 game was against GW on Nov. 22, 1983. The teams split the first six games before the Colonials went on to win the next 15 and 44 of the next 46 including 23 straight between 1994 and 2004. The Dukes won six consecutive from 2010 to 2013 and three straight sating back to Jan. 29, 2017. GW is Duquesne most played opponent with 66 matchups and most played opponent in the Atlantic 10 Championship with nine meetings.
