PITTSBURGH - Senior
Cordon Louco (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) bested the field at the 2018 Duquesne Duals on Saturday at Schenley Park to pace the Dukes to a first-place finish in the season-opening race.
The Dukes finished 1-2 en route to the victory, as Louco crossed the finish line of the 8K course in 25:34.53 followed by senior
Christian Kazanjian (25:52.49).
Duquesne had five runners place in the top-eight, as sophomore
Casey Conboy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) registered a sixth-place mark (26:05.26), senior
Hunter Wharrey (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) finished seventh (26:11.92) and freshman
Sam Snodgrass (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) eighth (26:13.64).
The Dukes tallied a first-place score of 24, followed by Carnegie Mellon second (41), Pittsburgh third (71) and Youngstown State fourth (105).
Duquesne will again hit the course on Friday, Sept. 14 at the Buffalo Invitational.
