Duquesne (2-5), plays the second of three consecutive road games when it heads to Moon Township, Pa. to face Robert Morris (0-7-1) on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 p.m.
THE SERIES
Duquesne leads the series 14-6-2. In matches at RMU, the Colonials hold a 5-4-2 advantage. The two have split home wins in the past seven meetings, with DU winning four times at home and Robert Morris taking the past three at Moon Township. Duquesne's last win at RMU came on Sept. 23, 2009 (1-0). This is the 23rd meeting between the two. DU and RMU have met every season since the inception of the Duquesne program.

- This is the 23rd season for the Duquesne men's soccer program.
- DU is in its fifth season under head coach Chase Brooks. Brooks has led the Dukes to Atlantic 10 Championship appearances in 2013, 2015 and 2016.
- The Dukes are 0-3 on the road with a 4-2 opening-day loss at Saint Francis U (Aug. 25), a 2-0 loss at Bucknell (Sept. 9) and a 4-1 defeat at Temple on Tuesday. Robert Morris is 0-2-1 at home with losses to St. Bonaventure (3-2 2OT) and Marshall (2-1) and a 1-1 tie with Bucknell.
- RMU is coming off a 2-1 loss at Pitt on Tuesday. The Panthers scored the clincher in the 56th minute. All but one of Robert Morris' matches have been decided by one or fewer goals. The Colonials have scored in every game.
- Seven players have scored for the Dukes, led by sophomore Zach Hall with three goals. Jallah Acqui and Tyrese Edwards have two goals each. Hall leads the team with seven points.
- Hall leads the team in shots (19) and shots on goal (11). Edwards is second with nine shots. Ian Larson and Austin Stout have taken seven shots each.
- Edwards, a freshman, came off the bench to score a pair of second-half goals on Aug. 27 vs. Bloomsburg. Edwards, who logged 37 minutes, scored in the 76th and 78th minute. The Brampton, Ontario native took a team high six shots, including a team-most four on goal in that game.
- DU's seven returning starters include: grad student D Cody West (18 games/18 starts), sophomore F Zach Hall (18/17), junior D/M Ian Larson (17/16), senior M Fredrik Borenstein (18/15), junior M Noah Mehta (17/11), sophomore D/M Ryan Landry (16/11) and senior M/F George Poppas (18/10).
- Duquesne returned 13 of its 16 goals scored last season (DU benefitted from one own goal) in the form of Borenstein (3), Larson (2), Landry (2), Hall (2), junior M Austin Stout (2), sophomore F Jallah Acqui (1) and junior M/F Olav Hovstad (1).
- The Dukes have replaced goalkeeper Evan Kozlowski, who posted nine shutouts in starting all 18 games last season, with sophomore Robbie McKelvey. DU opened the season with sophomore Scott Rissler in net. It was Rissler's first Division I game. McKelvey made his first career appearance in a start vs. Bloomsburg (59:36) and combined with Rissler (30:24) for the shutout. McKelvey has been in net for the past five games.
- Duquesne's five goals vs. Bloomsburg (Aug. 27) tied its high under Brooks set in a 5-0 win at St. Bonaventure on Oct. 12, 2014.
- DU's five first-half goals this season are four more than it had in the first half of 18 games last year.
- Graduate student Cody West and junior Olav Hovstad are the team captains for 2017.
