PITTSBURGH -- Sixteen night matches highlight the 17-game 2016 Duquesne men's soccer schedule released today.

The Dukes, who have advanced to the Atlantic 10 Championship in two of their first three seasons under head coach Chase Brooks, open at home vs. Saint Francis U. on Friday, August 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Following the Saint Francis game, the Dukes will head to Lexington, Ky. to face a University of Kentucky team that finished 12-5-2 en route to winning the Conference USA regular season title last season. The Wildcats, who went 7-0-1 in C-USA play, are coming off back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances.

DU will then travel to Dayton, Ohio for a Labor Day evening clash against Wright State - a team that advanced to the Horizon League championship game last season.

The Dukes return home to celebrate the program's Alumni Weekend with the Duquesne Invitational featuring Bucknell, Canisius and Wofford. DU will face Wofford on Friday, September 9 and Canisius on Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. in their lone afternoon game.

DU will complete non-conference play with home matches under the lights against Robert Morris (Sept. 23) and Buffalo (Oct. 1) and road contests at Cleveland State (Sept. 20) and Navy (Sept. 27). The RMU game, which is on a Friday, will help kick-off Homecoming Weekend.

Duquesne opens its eight-game Atlantic 10 Conference schedule at St. Bonaventure on Oct. 5. DU will face George Washington (Oct. 8), VCU (Oct. 15), George Mason (Oct. 19) and Rhode Island (Nov. 5) at home and Fordham (Oct. 12), Saint Joseph's (Oct. 22) and Dayton (Oct. 29) in addition to the Bonnies on the road in league play. All eight conference matches will start at 7:00 p.m.

The top eight finishers will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship on Davidson's Alumni Field on Nov. 10-13.

Fans can get their first look at the 2016 Dukes in an exhibition game at Pitt on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7:00 p.m.
