Duquesne (5-2-3, 0-0-1), which has posted a school record six consecutive shutouts, puts its undefeated home record on line (4-0-1) when it hosts George Washington (5-2-5, 0-0-2) on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes, who are coming off three-straight 0-0 ties, welcome a GW team that has played to a draw in its past two matches. This is the Atlantic 10 home opener for the Dukes.

THE SERIES
This is the 19th meeting between the Dukes and Colonials in a series that dates back to the inception of the DU program in 1995. Duquesne leads the series 9-8-1, including a 5-2-0 advantage in games played on Rooney Field. The Dukes have won the past five meetings at home, with GW's last Rooney win coming on Oct. 18, 1998 (1-0 in OT). Duquesne won the last meeting between the two by a 4-0 score on Oct. 26, 2014 in Pittsburgh.

QUICK HITS
- This is the 22nd season for the Duquesne men's soccer program.
- This is the A-10 home opener for the Dukes who are 94-93-18 all-time in conference play - including a 58-36-9 mark on Rooney Field.
- George Washington is coming off A-10 ties with Fordham (0-0) and VCU (2-2), this is GW's first road conference game.
- The Dukes began the week with an NCAA RPI of 35. The next-best RPI by an Atlantic 10 school is Saint Louis at No. 47. George Washington (53) is the only other A-10 school with an RPI under 100.
- All 10 of Duquesne's games have been decided by one (or fewer) goals.
- DU has limited nine of its 10 opponents to one or fewer goals.
- The Dukes, with senior Evan Kozlowski in goal, have posted a school record six consecutive shutouts (previous record was five in 2000). The last team to score on the Dukes was Wofford in the 58th minute on Sept. 9. (that's a span of 652 minutes entering the GW game).
- Duquesne has outshot its last six opponents (Canisius, at Cleveland State, Robert Morris, at Navy, Buffalo and St. Bonaventure) 91 to 59.

- Four Duquesne's five wins have come in dramatic fashion, including three on Rooney Field:
* Aug. 26 vs. Saint Francis U - Olav Hovstad scored in the 100th minute to give the Dukes a 2-1 come-from-behind OT win
* Sept. 9 vs. Wofford - DU scored twice in the final 5:04 - with Fredrik Borenstein netting the game-winner in 89th minute - of a 2-1 win
* Sept. 11 vs. Canisius - Austin Stout scored with five seconds left in the first overtime to give Duquesne a 1-0 win
* Sept. 20 at Cleveland State - Freshman Jallah Acqui scored in the 93rd minute in a 1-0 win

- The Dukes followed the SFU game with a 1-0 loss at then-No. 17 Kentucky on August 30. DU nearly came back from a 3-0 halftime deficit in a 3-2 defeat at Wright State on Labor Day. The Dukes got goals from Zach Hall in the 61st minute and Borenstein in the 73rd, but could not find the back of the net again before time expired. DU has not lost since the near comeback at WSU.
- DU's three overtime wins are the team's most since 2005. The '05 Atlantic 10 regular season co-champion Dukes (13-5) posted a 3-2 overtime record. Duquesne's six overtime games are the most since 2008 (7). The school record for OT games in a season is nine set in 2002.
- Duquesne's first three opponents: Saint Francis U (2nd in Northeast), then-No. 17 Kentucky (1st in Conference USA) and Wright State (T1st in Horizon) were all picked first or second in their conference's preseason poll.
- The Dukes are outscoring opponents 9-2 in the second half and overtime.
- Balance has been the early-season theme for the Dukes who have eight players with two or more points, and none with more than six. DU's nine goals have come from six players: Fredrik Borenstein (3), Chris Alescio, Olav Hovstad, Zach Hall, Austin Stout and Jallah Acqui (plus one own goal).
- Freshman Ryan Landry is tied with Bryan Fegley for the team lead with two assists, including a feed on Olav Hovstad's game-winner in the win over Saint Francis U.
- Junior midfielder Fredrik Borenstein, DU's top returning point-getter with seven last season, leads the team with three goals and six points. The Norway native also leads the team in career goals with nine. Senior Chris Alescio ranks second on the team with six career goals, including one this season.
- Freshman Jallah Acqui was named A-10 co-Rookie of the Week on Sept. 26. The Upper Darby, Pa. native was honored for his game-winning goal in the 93rd minute of DU's 1-0 win at Cleveland State on Sept. 20.
- DU goalkeeper Evan Kozlowski, who put together an MVP performance at the Sept. 9 & 11 Duquesne Invitational, has posted six-straight shutouts. The redshirt senior has posted a total of 18 saves in the wins over Canisius (1-0), at Cleveland State (1-0 in OT) and vs. Robert Morris (1-0) and the 0-0 2OT ties at Navy, vs. Buffalo at at St. Bonaventure.
- @DuqMSoccer earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year. It is the 17th time in the past 18 years that Duquesne men's soccer has earned the honor. Duquesne has has been recognized more than any other Atlantic 10 program since the award was instituted in 1996.
