QUICK RECAP: Rico Galassi finished first of 123 runners to lead the Duquesne men's cross country team to a second place finish at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship with 77 points. The event was held at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. on Saturday morning. Dayton finished first with 57 points. Saint Louis (85), George Mason (102) and Saint Joseph's (130) rounded out the top five teams.
Galassi crossed in 24:32.3, 10.1 seconds ahead of second place finisher Hunter Johnson of Dayton. Christian Kazanjian (5th place/24:49.3) and Cordon Louco (8th place/24:59.2) also finished in the top 10 for the Dukes.
This marks the sixth time Duquesne has finished second in the A-10 Championship.
