PITTSBURGH - Freshman midfielder
Ryan Landry (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area) was named Atlantic 10 co-Rookie of the Week for his performance in Duquesne's two games last week.
Landry had a three-point week with an assist versus George Mason and a goal at Saint Joseph's to help Duquesne go 1-0-1. He headed the ball to Ian Larson for an assist on Duquesne's first goal in a 2-2 tie with Mason and clinched the Dukes' 2-0 win at SJU with a goal in the 90th minute. The freshman now leads Duquesne with three assists, and his five points are tied for second-most on the team.
Landry is the second Duke to earn A-10 Rookie honors this season, joining fellow freshman Jallah Acqui who won the award on Sept. 26.
