PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne men's soccer team will open the 2015 season on Sunday, August 30 at Niagara in a homecoming game for third-year Dukes head coach Chase Brooks who served as head coach of the Purple Eagles in 2001 and 2012.
Brooks, who led Niagara to an NCAA Championship appearance in 2012, will begin his third season at DU with a roster that features six returning starters.
Duquesne will face a 17-game schedule in 2015.
The Dukes follow the trip to Niagara with the home opener against Marshall on Sept. 4 before welcoming Oregon State, Cornell and Cleveland State for the Duquesne Invitational on Sept. 11 & 13 on Rooney Field.
DU will face OSU on the 11th and Cleveland State on the 13th.
The Dukes will then head to central New York to face Cornell and Colgate on Sept. 18 & 20 before returning to Pittsburgh for a game at Robert Morris on Sept. 27.
Duquesne will conclude its stretch of four in a row on the road at Saint Francis U on Sept. 30.
The Dukes open Atlantic 10 play at home vs. Dayton on Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Additional home A-10 opponents include Fordham (Oct. 10), St. Bonaventure (Oct. 24) and Davidson (Nov. 7).
DU will face La Salle (Oct. 7), VCU (Oct. 17), George Mason (Oct. 21) and Rhode Island (Oct. 31) in its four A-10 road games.
A non-conference game at first-time opponent Michigan on Oct. 13 falls three games into the conference season.
The 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship will be played on the campus of George Mason in Fairfax, Va. on Nov. 12-15. The top eight finishers of the 13 men's soccer-playing conference schools will qualify.

2015 SCHEDULE QUICK NOTES
• The Dukes will play a total of nine non-conference and eight Atlantic 10 games. Of the 17 total games, seven will be played at home and 10 on the road.
• DU will face two first-time opponents in Cornell and Michigan.
• The 13-team Atlantic 10 will maintain an 8-game conference schedule for the third consecutive year. Duquesne will play Dayton, Fordham, St. Bonaventure and Davidson at home and La Salle, VCU, George Mason and Rhode Island on the road. The Dukes will not face George Washington, Massachusetts, Saint Joseph's or Saint Louis in the A-10 regular season.
• Eight teams will qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championship at George Mason in Fairfax, Va. on Nov. 12-15.
