Duquesne, coming off a 3-2 double-overtime win at La Salle on Wednesday that evened its Atlantic 10 record at 1-1, returns home to face one of the hottest teams in the A-10 in Fordham. The Rams are 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play with 3-0 wins over La Salle at home and at Davidson.
Duquesne was picked to finish eighth and Fordham seventh in the preseason poll of league coaches released in late August. The top eight teams qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championship to be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. on Nov. 12-15. Here are the current A-10 standings entering the second weekend of conference play.

Duquesne, in its 21st season as a program, enters the Fordham match 169-169-44 all time and 91-91-16 in Atlantic 10 play.
DU, which entered the season 13-3-1 at home under head coach Chase Brooks, is 0-4 on Rooney Field this season. On the flip side, the Dukes - who were 4-11-3 on the road under Brooks entering 2015 - are 3-2-1 on the road this season.
Duquesne leads the overall series with Fordham 8-7-1, including a 6-3-0 advantage in games played in Pittsburgh. DU ended a three-game Fordham series win streak with a 3-0 victory on Nov. 2, 2012 in the Rams' last visit to Rooney Field. The two tied 1-1 (2OT) at Fordham last season.
Fordham has shut out four of its past five opponents (3-1-1 over that span). Lehigh is the only team to score on the Rams (3-0 home win on Sept. 29) in Fordham's past five outings. Goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu has four shutouts this season.
Fordham's opponents are averaging 1.27 goals/g. Duquesne's opponents are averaging 1.30.
Duquesne has been outscored by just two goals (13-11) through its first 10 matches.
Senior tri-captain Colin Phillips leads the Dukes in points (15), goals (6), assists (3), shots (27) and shots on goal (10). Phillips has scored all six of his goals in three games (all two-goal games). He found the back of the net twice on Aug. 30 in a 3-1 season-opening win at Niagara, added two more scores in a Sept. 11 a 3-2 home loss to No. 12 Oregon State and added two goals in a eight-minute span in Wednesday's 3-2 win at La Salle. Phillips leads the Atlantic 10 in total goals (6), total points (15), goals/g. (0.60) and points/g. (1.50).
Two of DU's 11 goals have been scored by true freshmen - both coming on their first career college shot attempt. Ian Larson netted the game-winner in the 71st minute at Colgate on Sept. 20 and Peace Drevitch gave the Dukes a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on Sept. 27 at Robert Morris.
Freshman Noah Mehta is second on the team lead with two assists. He had one in the opening day 3-1 win at Niagara and added another in the 3-2 loss to Oregon State.
The Dukes started four true freshmen in the A-10 opener vs. Dayton: Noah Mehta (M), Matthew Rochowski (M), Brandon Walbert (M) and Peace Drevitch (D). Mehta, Walbert and Drevitch also started at La Salle.
DU has surrendered under two goals in six of 10 games this season and 14 of their past 18 matches dating back to last year. No. 12 Oregon State (2-3), at Robert Morris (1-2 in 2OT), Dayton (1-2) and at La Salle (3-2 in 2OT) are the only opponents to score more than one goal against the Dukes in 2015-16. The La Salle game marked DU's first win this year when giving up two or more goals.
DU is +19 on corner kicks (65-46) through 10 games, Fordham is +21 (54-33) in 11 matches.
