QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's soccer team ended its first-ever California road trip with a 4-0 loss at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday afternoon.

The Dukes first scoring chance came in the 9th minute when Linnea Faccenda's corner kick found Kahli Hale, but UCSB keeper Jacq Caginia made the save. After going offsides twice in two minutes, the Gauchos got on the board when Chace Shornstein dribbled to center, passed to Dakota Griggs who slid the ball to Indiana Mead for the goal behind Dukes' keeper Vanessa Perdomo. Duquesne had one more shot in the 1st half, but Lauren Yobbbi was stopped by Caginia.

UCSB dominated the 2nd half. Just 48 seconds into play, Mead found Angelisa Cortez for a one-timer past Perdomo. Ten minutes later Miranda Cornejo fed Savannah Francis with a long pass at the goal line. Francis was able to put in the goal on the right side of the box. In the 72nd minute, Zoe Purcell found McKinsey Martinez in the center of the box who put the ball in the back of the net.
