The Duquesne men's soccer team will face top flight competition when it heads to Oregon for the Hensor/Zaher Nike Classic this weekend. DU will face a pair of teams in the "also receiving votes" category of the latest NCSAA Top 25 in Portland (1-1-2) and Oregon State (3-1-0) in a span of three days.

QUICK HITS
• This will be the Dukes' first meeting with both the Pilots and Beavers.
• Siena (3-0-0) will also be participating in the four-team Hensor/Zaher Nike Classic.
• The Hensor/Zaher Classic has been played since 2004, and honors a pair of Oregon State student-athletes who were tragically lost just a few months apart. Stephen Hensor was a midfielder on the 2000 and 2001 squads, who was stricken by liver cancer and died on Aug. 30, 2002. Then, following a season that saw him earn Freshman All-America and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year honors, Joe Zaher died in a car accident on Dec. 1, 2002.
• This is the second time in three years that the Dukes are playing on the west coast. In 2012, DU played at California.
• Duquesne's Friday opponent, Portland, has been to two College Cups (1988 & 1995) and has reached the NCAA postseason 14 times.
• The Pilots are coming off a long trip of their own, having played at Florida Gulf Coast (T, 0-0) and at South Florida (L, 0-2) last weekend.
• DU's Sunday opponent, Oregon State, takes a 3-0-1 match into Friday's match vs. Siena (3-0-0).
• Duquesne, which has won three in a row, took the title of last weekend's Duquesne Invitational with back-to-back wins over Binghamton (3-2) and Bowling Green (3-2 2OT).
• Freshman Fredrik Borenstein, who has posted a goal in DU's last three outings, was named Invitational MVP. Borenstein, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and also named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, netted the game-winner vs. previously undefeated Bowling Green in the 105th minute of the title match.
• First-year sophomore Mamadou Traore, who had the game-winner vs. Binghamton, junior Kadeem Pantophlet and senior Nick DiSomma joined Borenstein on the All-Invitational Team.
• Duquesne's 3-0-1 start is its best since ... last year. Chase Brooks' first edition Dukes team opened 4-0-0 on the way to a 9-8-1 finish.
• Duquesne enters the weekend ranked seventh nationally in total goals with 10. Last year, it took the Dukes until Oct. 11 (10 matches) to reach the 10-goal mark.
Kadeem Pantophlet ranks 8th nationally in total assists (3) and 18th nationally in assists per game (0.75).
• Freshman Fredrik Borenstein and senior Austin Lange lead the Dukes with three goals each. Lange scored all three of his against Saint Francis U. on Aug. 31. It was the third hat trick in school history. The effort earned him co-A-10 Player of the Week honors.
