PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne men's cross country team opened up the 2014 season at Schenley Park with the annual Duquesne Duals. The Dukes placed a pair of runners in the top 10 led by Aaron Wilkinson (5th/26:30.4) and Evan Gomez (8th/26:45).
As a team, the Dukes finished 6-1, defeating Buffalo, Carnegie Mellon, George Mason, La Salle, Saint Vincent and Youngstown State. Saint Joseph's edged the Dukes by three points.
Duquesne returns to action on Sept. 13 in the Harry Groves Spike Shoe Invitational held at Penn State.
