Results

The Duquesne men's cross country team finished ninth of 25 schools at Friday's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at Penn State. Jim Spisak paced the Red and Blue by finishing 10th of 170 runners with a time of 30:45, earning All-Region honors and qualifying for the NCAA Championship.

He was followed by Alex Woodrow in 60th place in 32:00, Evan Gomez in 72nd in 32:11 and Cam Stauffer in 76th in 32:14.

Spisak qualified for the NCAA Championship as one of the top-four runners not associated with the NCAA qualifying teams in Friday's race. He is the first Duke to qualify for NCAA's since Mike Stolar in 2009 and is just the third Duke all-time to participate at NCAA's with current assistant coach Tom Slosky qualifying in 2007. The race will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:15 pm in Louisville, Kent.

Next up for the rest of the Dukes is the IC4A Championship on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 12:15 pm at Bronx, N.Y.
